Trevor the Trout goes swimmingly at Kelso Library
Kelso Library was the setting for some fishy tales from Trevor Trout on Tuesday 27th November.
12 children and their parents were captivated when Trevor – aka Trevor Black read from his book "The life and Adventures of Trevor the Trout".
Ably assisted by his granddaughter Rachel, Trevor revealed little snippets from his forthcoming titles "The Day Trevor Beat the Poachers" and "Trevor Goes to the Seaside" which will be published next year.
The audience asked lots of questions and Trevor revealed how he came to start writing his books. His illustrator, Laura Tyser used to work with him at Forrest of Kelso, however she now lives in New Zealand. Trevor explained how modern technology makes it easier to fit the illustrations to the story.
Kelso Library would like to thank Trevor and Rachel for coming to the Library to tell about Trevor the Trout and his adventures and hope to have a return visit when the new titles are published.
